Visitation
** Masks are currently not required for visitors and staff in the Skilled Nursing Care Center**
The Federal Government ended the COVID Public Health Emergency on May 11, 2023, and new guidance related to managing COVID was released at that time. As such, effective May 19, 2023, Dunwoody made the following changes:
- Masks are now voluntary for employees and visitors, including the Care Center, unless a person is symptomatic or had recent close contact with a COVID-positive person. Dunwoody administration retains the right to require masks to be worn if a situation warrants.
- Well-fitting masks (surgical, KN95 or N95) are required for staff, visitors and residents who have had close contact with someone with COVID-19, and masks must be worn for 10 days after exposure.
- Staff, visitors and any other persons entering Dunwoody must check-in using the Accushield kiosk in either the Main Building Lobby or the Care Center Lobby; however, temperatures and COVID-19 questions are no longer a part of the screening process.
We continually assess our protocols, taking into consideration the recommendations of medical experts and governmental agencies, and we continue to keep staff, residents and families updated. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation; it is only by working together that we can continue to minimize the risk.
Communications from Administration
Dunwoody Village takes seriously its responsibility to its residents to ensure a safe environment in which to live. It is with that responsibility in mind that we continually communicate current measures as we work together to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Dunwoody’s leadership team prepares a weekly update for residents, team members and families that includes information related to COVID-19 as well as general information for the good of the community. Those updates are included below.
